Camps

We plan to do at least one camp a year and sometimes in the past have been lucky to get 2 camps.

Previous Camps

Youlbury – Stoke Row Camp – Activity centre led

Stokenchurch – Nature theme – Field Camping – Leader led

Braziers Park – Pirate theme, with treasure hunting, hikes, craft – Field Camping – Leader led.

We try to alternate a green field camp and an activity centre camp each year. There are also District camps that do the same, but bi-yearly.  Previous District camps include a history theme, Country themes, water parks & outdoor skills. All with other packs from the district.

District Camp 2025.

We attended a great District Camp in Summer 2025, with Cubs from all over South Oxfordshire.  This was held at Youlbury Scout Activity Centre.

The cubs did so many activities, I am sure I cannot remember then all.

Pioneering – build a Go Kart, Water Rocket Launching, Climbing, Camp Fire, Disco, Jacob's Ladder, Zipline, Axe Throwing, Archery…  to mention a few.

A great time was had by all, and we will be doing another District camp in 2027.

Summer Camp 2026

We will be attending Longridge Water Activity Centre in June 2026.  We are planning to do many great events both on and off the water. Kayaking, Leap of Faith, Raft Building, Laser Tag…  as well as our normal campfire, songs and skits.

We have a great time at camp and it is an opportunity for the cubs to grow and test their limits on activities they would normally not get to do.
